About Us
SkiLengthCalculator.com started after repeatedly seeing friends buy skis that were too long or too short for their ability and style—because brand charts vary and advice isn’t always consistent.
What the calculator does
The tool gives a center recommendation and a safe range for ski length. It’s unit-aware (height in cm/m/ft/in; weight in kg/lb/st) and mobile-friendly, so you can size up in the parking lot or on your couch.
How it works (plain English)
- Baseline: start from about
0.9 × height (cm). - Adjustments: small tweaks for weight, ability level (Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced), and skiing style (Easy-going / Average / Aggressive).
- Intended use: choose what you ride most—All-Mountain, Touring, Racing, Powder/Off-groomer, Groomers & carving, or Terrain park—to bias the length a few centimeters for float vs. maneuverability.
- Output: we show a center value and a reasonable range; pick the closest length your preferred ski model offers.
- Not for toddlers: we don’t size below 2.6 ft (80 cm) height.
